A glance at the provisional agenda.
Day one will assess the Federal Government’s health policy reform agenda and issues surrounding health budgets and expenditure, hospital funding, the Medicare scheme and access to dental health care. Key topics include:
* Towards health policy reform
* Creating a national health system
* Health economics and funding
* Reforming hospitals
* State based perspectives
* Health standards and performance indicators
* The future of Medicare, MBS and PBS
* Implications for private health insurance

Day two will examine strategies to implement major policy reform and restructure the health care model through prevention and health promotion, primary health care, integrated care and specific health concerns, such as mental health and aged care. Topics we are looking to include are:
